A cat train has opened in Japan and the internet has lost it!

News

TRAIN journeys can get pretty boring, so imagine how much fun it would be to have cats on board, too?

The first ever cat train opened in Japan on Sunday 10 September.

Passengers were given the chance to cuddle and play with around thirty cats, as the train travelled around Ogaki.

Miho Taguchi, a representative of the Kitten Café Sanctuary which helped to organise the event, said: “The cats seem to be having fun and are being playful as usual.”

The event was held to raise awareness of stray cats in the country; in the last 24 hours the story has gone viral online.

Unfortunately, the journey was only a one off, but we’d love to see the idea introduced over here, too!

What do you think? Would you love to travel onboard a cat train?
