TWO cheeky locals in Stockport are spending all day outside. But don’t worry, they’re not going far – they’re just relaxing in the garden. 

Ed and Ted have been putting smiles on locals’ faces, as people doing their daily exercise pass by the pair to see what they’re up to each day. Their owner, who wants to remain nameless, arranges the giant teddy bears so it looks like they’re doing tasks, household chores and having fun in his garden. 

The bear pair have become a local hit and have started to gain fans from further afield thanks to people sharing their snaps on social media.

Ed and Ted have been busy building, baking, fixing car tyres, doing the ironing, playing board games, putting on a musical performance and even camping afterwards for a well-earned break. 

The owner of the bears, and the impeccable garden in which they live, said: “I’m doing something to use my imagination and relieve the boredom – and hopefully putting a smile on people’s faces.”

Addressing people’s concerns about whether the bears are being careful during lockdown, he added: “Both Ted and Ed maintain their distance from humans and practise effective handwashing following all fan-mail handling.”
