A NEW report from the United Nations’ World Health Organization has warned that almost 500 million people are at risk of obesity and heart disease, if they don’t get active.
The organisation’s Global Status Report on Physical Activity 2022 looks at how the world’s governments are working to get people doing more physical activity.
Researchers found that only 30% of countries have national physical activity guidelines for all ages.
It was also found that more than 80% of the world’s adolescent population doesn’t do enough physical activity.
The report recommends that countries work to make their roads safer, to encourage biking and walking.
