THE Royals are continuing to support mental health in the UK, with two more projects.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry have confirmed they will be investing £2m from their Royal Foundation to create a digital innovation unit.
The unit will feature a range of services, aimed at giving people better access to mental health support.
This is part of the Royals’ Head Together campaign, which is all about getting people to talk more about their mental wellbeing. The charity was picked as this year’s Virgin London Marathon charity of the year!
Military mental health
Prince Harry and the Ministry of Defence (MOD) have also joined forces to tackle mental health in the military.
The Royal Foundation is working with the MOD to offer training and support for members of the armed forces and their families.
Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon said: “Our soldiers, sailors and airmen are the best in the world but we will only maintain that if we are as serious about improving mental health as we are our combat skills and cutting-edge technology.”
