EMOJI fans around the world have just set a new Guinness World Record title for the Largest gathering of people dressed as emoji faces simultaneously across multiple venues. 

In London, participants including young patients at Evelina Children’s Hospital gathered at St Thomas’ Hospital Gardens in front of Big Ben, led by Vyv Evans, the UK’s leading Emoji expert and author of The Emoji Code, whilst emoji fans in Dubai, Moscow, Dublin and Sao Paulo joined them in the huge celebration.

The world record attempt was organised to mark World Emoji Day – which people all over the world will celebrate today (Monday 17 July) – and the upcoming release of The Emoji Movie in cinemas.
