HURRICANE Irma is moving across the Caribbean, causing more devastation for the Turks and Caicos islands and Haiti. It’s predicted to hit Cuba next.
At least fourteen people have been reported dead.
Thousands of people have now been told to evacuate Florida, as the category five hurricane is expected to hit the area this weekend.
US President Donald Trump said: “I can say this: Florida is as well prepared as you can be for something like this. Now it’s just a question of what happens.”
Britain, France, and the Netherlands are helping in the rescue efforts, sending ships and emergency supplies to the places affected.
Hurricane Jose, also in the Atlantic Ocean, has now been upgraded to a category three hurricane. A hurricane watch is now in place for many Caribbean islands, including Antigua and Barbuda.
