Reservations are now open for the first hotel on the moon!

A newly-founded California company, Galactic Resource Utilization Space (GRU), hopes to open “the first-ever permanent off-Earth structure” in 2032. The only catch? You’ll need a lot of savings to pay the $1 million (£750,000) deposit for a room…

The hotel, an inflatable structure designed to last ten years, would fit up to four guests and offer them activities like moonwalks, driving and golfing. GRU would then turn its attention to building a bigger hotel, like the one pictured, for up to ten guests.

But for the idea to get off the ground, it all still needs approval – and a lot of rich people’s cash!
