Google is shaking up phone calls by launching audio emojis on its Google Pixel devices.

People have discovered the option to send a sound effect ‘reaction’ while they’re on a call with someone.

There are six noisy reactions to choose from, including clapping, laughing, crying and celebrating.

Completing the set are a drum sound effect and (oh, yes) the poo emoji, which plays a fart sound effect.

It appears that Google is just testing the new feature out for now, as the sounds have only appeared on some phones. Online opinions have been a bit mixed so far.

The sounds might make phone calls more popular – but you may want to be careful who you use them with.

They could either find them funny… or a little bit annoying!
