An elderly expert working at the US National Gallery of Art has gone viral on social media – by dropping Gen Z slang!
Anyone who was born between 1997 and 2012 belongs to Generation Z, or Gen Z for short.
Alison Luchs (above), aged 77, was keen to help the gallery attract a fresh generation of art fans – and it’s working, because her clips are bagging millions of views. In one, she shows off a 16th-century clay dish and says: “Look how bro glazed it – he went goblin mode with all these colours!”
Luchs, who has worked at the gallery for 47 years, speaks five languages. She said that Gen Z slang was just like learning another one. Now, colleagues say she uses it in her everyday life!
