A school in Japan has set up sleeping pods for students to snooze in during the day!
These aren’t big comfy beds, but boxes that, from the outside, look a bit like the fridge in your kitchen.
A report by ANN in Japan called them “stand and sleep boxes”. Students step inside, then fold down some pads to lean on and have a quick nap, while being supported in a standing position!
The school installed them as part of its health curriculum, which is focusing on the importance of getting enough sleep.
However, critics say that they’d prefer sleeping the old-fashioned way, lying down, and that while some animals can sleep standing up, humans probably shouldn’t.

It'd be very uncomfortable standing for a long time. I would not like these sleeping pods to be in my school.

I agree, it would be efficient BUT it would also be EXTREMELY uncomfortable to be sleeping while standing up so that would be a no for me
