TECH company Samsung has released a report written by top academics and futurists, that predicts what Britain might look like in 50 years’ time.
No matter what happens in the next few months and years, one thing is for certain – the world of 2069 will look VERY different to our planet today.
Travel will definitely change. The report suggests that there could be underwater superhighways that go from one side of the UK over to the northeast of Europe.
We might also use high-powered drones to fly us around instead of buses or taxis. Planes may be replaced by reusable rockets that could go from London to New York in 30 minutes.
Changes to travel might mean that aerial sports, a bit like Quidditch, could become a reality – after drone-powered hoverboards are invented, of course.
Movies and games could change too, and become enhanced by ‘haptic suits’ that create sensations of touch, allowing us to physically feel what we’re watching or playing.
Of the many predictions made, a survey of 2,000 Britons found that the futuristic advancement people were most excited about was homes that used robotic technology to clean themselves!
