Which futuristic prediction do you hope comes true?

TECH company Samsung has released a report written by top academics and futurists, that predicts what Britain might look like in 50 years’ time.

No matter what happens in the next few months and years, one thing is for certain – the world of 2069 will look VERY different to our planet today.

Travel will definitely change. The report suggests that there could be underwater superhighways that go from one side of the UK over to the northeast of Europe.

We might also use high-powered drones to fly us around instead of buses or taxis. Planes may be replaced by reusable rockets that could go from London to New York in 30 minutes.

Changes to travel might mean that aerial sports, a bit like Quidditch, could become a reality – after drone-powered hoverboards are invented, of course.

Movies and games could change too, and become enhanced by ‘haptic suits’ that create sensations of touch, allowing us to physically feel what we’re watching or playing.

Of the many predictions made,  a survey of 2,000 Britons found that the futuristic advancement people were most excited about was homes that used robotic technology to clean themselves!

Which futuristic prediction do you most hope comes true?

The future is exciting BUT EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!!!!!

i hope air taxis and buses are in the future because it would help with traffic jams in early mornings so kids like me don't get to school late sometimes. However, i think it's really important that the air taxis/buses are powered by solar energy or other types of renewable energy so that it won't affect air pollution or release harmful gases into our atmosphere.

I would love it if homes cleaned them selves so that we don't have to spend valuable time cleaning them or waste money hiring a cleaner

It will hopefully reduce our carbon footprint.

These are all really cool ideas for the future, and it would improve our lives a LOT. I wonder how Samsung is going to design it.

It would be very useful to have robots cleaning our homes, personally I can't wait till that comes to every household! Socks don't clean themselves.

I chose self-cleaning homes because then I wouldn't have to do chores and then I'd have a lot more free time and be able to spend more time with my friends.

These all sound like amazing ideas and I would love them to come true only if they don't damage our amazing planet

newtlover · 4 months ago

I think we shouldn’t have any of them if they weren’t renewable. But if they were I would love a self-cleaning house so I don’t have to tidy my bedroom

By 2069, climate change will be a massive crisis and a risk to the survival of humans. Underwater superhighways is the only option that will help climate change, while everything else will be a waste of electricity.

So cool

The underwater superhighways sound really cool and I would love to go in one. Rocket travel in space also sounds so fun. I would love to give both of them a try!!!!:)
