Do you think too much phone time can make you unhappy?

AMERICAN researchers have claimed that spending too much time on your phone can make you unhappy.
A recent report says that teenagers who spend a lot of time on their phones, using social media and video chatting, are more unhappy than those who spend time doing non-screen activities such as sports, reading newspapers and talking to friends.
One of the researchers, Jean M Twenge, thinks increased phone use makes kids unhappy. She says the happiest kids are those who spend a bit of time on social media, rather than none at all.
“Many teens feel constant pressure to immediately respond on social media, and often welcome having a break,” Twenge told us. She also says that you should set limits on your screen time. “Aim to spend no more than two hours a day on digital media, and try to increase the amount of time you spend seeing friends face-to-face and exercising.”
