Should we play the national anthem more?

THE Government’s tech minister, Chris Philip, thinks the BBC should play God Save The Queen at the end of its programming every day. “The more we hear the national anthem sung, frankly, the better,” he said.
Chris Philp MP suggested that the national anthem was played at midnight each night, to mark the end of the day’s programming.
The national anthem used to be played at midnight on BBC1 each day, until 1997. Mr Philp says it should be returned to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

No because some people may see it as treating English people in a superior manner if we sing the national anthem more, and we want to be more inclusive to all nationalities and cultures. Nowadays, a lot of people don't even believe in God, in the UK, so the national anthem is a bit outdated too.

I don’t really think it’s necessary to listen to the national anthem every evening however, like the clapping for the NHS during lockdown it would be nice for the country to unite together

Yes we should. But I think the tech minister was probably just playing to get the government (and Boris Johnson) back into queen's good books after the 2 leaving parties on the night before Prince Philip's funeral.

what if you don't like that song wakeing you up at midnight everynight?

No as some people do not believe in God and might think that you are being racist to people who do not believe in God and people who have different religions

No because Some people don't Believe in God and it would Get annoying for Some people hearing all the time and Then it would be so Unfair! [I am not Being rude sorry if it sounds like it] and Lots of people wodent watch tv if they heard it all of the time.

No because it would just be a waste of time and it might be seen as treating English people better than other nationalities. And most people don’t believe in god. I don’t .

I don’t think they should because it would be annoying and as some other people have said some people don’t believe in God and it is a bit unequal if they sang about the queen every night.

We only play it at important events or on important dates therefore not all people know it
