Two thieves who used a stolen bank card to buy a winning lottery ticket worth €500,000 (£414,400) are now on the run in France.

The victim, whose card was taken from his backpack in Toulouse, has offered to share the prize money and drop criminal charges if the thieves return his wallet.

The shop owner who sold the ticket said the pair were so excited about their win that they left their belongings behind.

The prize remains unclaimed, and the victim’s lawyer has made a public appeal for the thieves to come forward and make a deal before the ticket expires.
