BY the year 2020, all pupils in England will be learning first aid skills at school, according to the Government.
After years of campaigning by many charities and individuals, young people in England will soon be taught first aid skills and given CPR training at school.
The Government has said that primary school children in England be taught basic first aid and to learn how and when to contact emergency services.
Secondary school children will be taught life-saving skills like CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), say the proposals.
Many charities, including the British Heart Foundation, have said that the plan could help save thousands of lives in the future, as a new generation will be armed with the skills they need to provide first aid to those in need.
