MICROSOFT, which makes the Xbox, will begin selling its biggest games for $70 (likely £70) next year.
The new games will still be available on release to anyone with an Xbox Game Pass subscription, and it doesn’t look like the pricing for the pass will change. The company said it will introduce the price increases “after the holidays, so families can enjoy the gift of gaming”. Microsoft’s rival, Sony, already charges £70 for its biggest new releases.

I think £70 is to expensive for a video game, can’t they reduce it to £20?

It’s quite expensive in a cost of living crisis. £70 is a lot of money right now.

70 quid is just too much, because it is only a flat disc with a video game inside it!

Video games are for fun. If you have to save up months for it, it is no use getting it.

You could get a second hand ps3 for £70! I mean, I have seen video games for £120! My PS4 cost that much!

Eh hello are Microsoft listening to the world there is a whole cost of living crisis so yes it is to expensive right now because of the cost of living crisis

Think about all the stuff you could get with a whole £70. I think it would be unwise to buy a video game with that sort of money, especially when there are people out there that need that money. I personally think it would be a bit selfish.

i would say they have a right to sell games for £70 if its a brand new one but not if its a couple of years old.

Yes, it’s just a video game 🎮 It’s nothing important

I think it’s too expensive especially with the cost of living crisis.

A video game costing £70 is just too expensive and not worth getting, like who would spend that much money on a darn video game when you could spend the whole lot on essentials and actually work on surviving the living crisis right now???
candyflos · 2 years ago
I think it’s too much because some kids can’t afford that luxury so it’s unfair they can’t get it just because of their wealth

£70 is way to expensive for a video game. The game just probably wouldn’t be worth it for £70.
kadey.mc · 2 years ago
Yes and no really but I just pressed no because it kind of depends on how popular the video game 🎮.👎🚫

It seems like I am buying a console. Video games should be cheaper, like £25.
aces10 · 2 years ago
That is completely overpriced. Many people wouldn’t be able to afford something like that, and even if they could, why would you pay so much for a video game? If you think about it, they would make a lot more profit if it was cheaper, so more people would buy it.

I think that £70 is way too much for a video game as some people might want to play that game but they don't have the money for it!

it depends on the quality but i said it is too expensive
potterwolf · 2 years ago
It depends on the game, will I like it or not, the quality and so on. But in the cost of living crisis £70 is a lot of money.
shruti_b · 2 years ago
I think £70 is a lot of money for a video game, perhaps too much, but money is tight for everyone right now, and companies do need to make money and be the most efficient they can, which makes sense for them to sell things for high prices and even raise original prices.

A video game should be at most £30.
Cost of living crisis and video games should be cheaper than your electricity bill.
rumdumdum · 2 years ago
