The coach of a college football team in the USA has banned his players from dancing on TikTok.

Rich Rodriguez says that his West Virginia Mountaineers squad can still use the app. However, he wants them to focus on football and team spirit, rather than chasing individual glory by filming and posting videos.

“Twenty years from now, if they want to be sitting in their pyjamas in the basement eating Cheetos and watching TikTok… knock yourself out,” he said. “I hope our focus can be on winning football games.

“How about let’s win the football game and not worry about winning the TikTok?”
