HAVE you ever found your mood gets worse when you’re hungry?

If so, you’re not the only one – flies get hangry (hungry and angry) too!

Researchers from the University of East Anglia (UEA) and University of Oxford found that male fruit flies showed more aggression the longer they went without food.

Dr Jen Perry, head of the study, said: “They’re more likely to aggressively lunge at each other and to swat at each other with their legs, and they spend more time defending food patches.”

I definitely get hangry! It is a way for my body to tell me that I am hungry, it can be helpfull but also very annoying!

Hangry is hungry and angry squished together. I sometimes get pain or a bit sad but not hangry

Yes definitely. It’s like giving your car petrol: if it doesn’t have enough of it, the car won’t work as well or travel as fast. And that’s the same for us too, it’s a fact of nature to feel hangry, of course not everyone feels it but it still exists

I've never been hangry that I've known. (Apart from this one time in Ikea and my Mum had a three-month-year Mars bar in her bag which I ate in the beds section shhh!!!!!!🤫🤫🤫🤫 )

Well I get mildly annoyed but not really angry, but I also just moan about when is lunch/dinner etc.
