After nearly eight months of specialised care, SeaWorld Orlando’s Rescue Team and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) returned the largest Loggerhead Sea Turtle ever rehabilitated by SeaWorld back home to the ocean. The turtle was released at Vero Beach on Florida’s South West coast.
The female Loggerhead was estimated to be at least 20 years old with a weight of nearly 160kg, equivalent to two fully grown men!
