Although much progress has been made in the fight against malaria in recent years, a child still dies every two minutes from the disease. Take a look at this video of 13-year-old Patrick who has fought malaria and won… and continues to fight.

Malaria is a key issue for this year’s Red Nose Day (on 24 March). Comic Relief and GSK are working together to fight malaria and improve health in some of the countries worst affected by the disease. Today (Friday 3 March), Comic Relief is shining a light on malaria with their ‘malaria moment’. For more information and to find out how you can support Red Nose Day, visit rednoseday.com.

This is unfortunate, of course, but remember we shouldn't swat the mosquitos because they're innocent living creatures.
