Some girls do dislike hard maths and some love hard maths, it depends on the girl's opinion and how much she tries to learn maths. I love any type of maths and when times get tough I try again and then ask for help.

No and it is extremely wrong to say this. Maybe the majority dislike it but that may be because they have no one to look up to as everyone is saying, 'girls cannot do hard maths.' This is wrong. xx

It's not just girl's who dislike hard maths boy's can to and I like a challenge in math's as a girl. And it is wrong to say this because they're aren't not meany female role models in this category. And just because they don't study it it doesn't mean that they don't like it.

There's many more reasons why girls are less likely to take physics than boys. This is just a huge generalisation and isn't very helpful to try and get more girls to take physics.

This level of generalisation is AWFUL! Some girls do dislike hard maths - SO DO SOME BOYS. I, for one, absolutely love maths and love a challenge in maths - and I am a girl. It depends on opinions. Even if the majority dislike hard maths, there is still the minority. It’s not like the minority doesn’t exist. It’s still there! I know lots of girls who enjoy hard maths.

It doesn’t matter if girls dislike hard maths, or others love hard maths. It’s just their opinion. Some girls love physics and calculating complex maths problems, others not so much. Girls can just try to figure out a way to the answer, like a maze, and then ask for help.

I LOVE maths and I’m a girl! I really enjoy being challenged with hard questions as I find it pushes me to improve. I don’t understand why people would say that girls don’t enjoy difficult maths.

I'm sorry. I really like maths! maybe when I don't get something or am struggling I'll get quite annoyed but mainly it's just really satisfying when you have the answer to a hard problem. The run up is hard, but it's a challenge so I don't think people should generalise. Sometimes since I'm the only girl in my maths class I feel humiliated when all the boys get something I don't, so that may be a reason for some girls... I don't know.

People in the comments need to read that they said that one possibility is that girls don’t like hard maths not that they can’t do it. The real reason is that girls do not have female role models in physics to look up to.

I think this is a definite no because it is not necessarily why they don't study a level physics, as there could be many other reasons besides that. Also, maybe the girls find that the math is too EASY and don't want to spend their time studying things they already know.
