Personally, I object to the speaker if shame for the simple fact that hospitals have more important things to worry about. Also, surely with all the troubles they are going through at the minute, hospitals should be focusing on things like how many beds they have left to accommodate I'll and injured people, not whose smoking within 10 meters of the entrance. I strongly disagree with this and hope it is not a future thing that all hospitals shall have.

Definitely. If someone is smoking then here are some reasons for them to stop:

1.) They could get all sorts of illnesses.

2.) If they are a taxpayer then they will have to pay their tax partly because people get ill from the smoke that not only the user is breathing in, but other people, which they won't want.

3.) Why would anyone want to get addicted to a bad thing. Cigarettes contain an addictive drug called Nicotine, which would consequently get you addicted to it.
4.) It's a waste of money! Not only are the smokers getting really unhealthy when the smoke, and get other people a higher risk of getting ill, but they have to actually pay for all this! If there is a taxpayer who smokes, they pay tax for care to do with smoking and also the cost of smoking them.
5.) The sign actually says no smoking! They are disobeying the rules after they have actually read the sign, and continuing, which makes them a bad person.

In my opinion, the speaker of shame is a great way to stop people smoking if they have disobeyed the rules, as it affects their health, makes them addicts, makes them lose money, kills 7 million people a year, and makes them unhealthy.
The government should put a tax on cigarettes or ban them completely if people's health is to be safe. Either way the government makes money, and saves millions of lives if they ban it.

I think it is not the best idea in the world. Partly because, yes smoking is bad for, however in my opinion, everything has a reason. Some smokers could have it a different way than a lot of people think and could be so difficult for them to quit. Shaming them with a speaker might make them steer clear from smoking outside of hospitals or other medical practices, which they shouldn't be smoking in front of anyway, but does it do them any good to be publicly embarrassed? I could be wrong here, but I think this is a valid reason.
