The BBC and ITV could show five World Cup matches in full on YouTube in the UK, as well as the first ten minutes of every game, as part of a new deal with FIFA.
It would be the first time that World Cup matches have been available to watch live on YouTube. If it is approved, the BBC and ITV will need to decide which matches they want to broadcast on YouTube.
ITV is set to show 34 group-stage matches, including England’s opener against Croatia and final game against Panama. It will also show Scotland vs Morocco.
The BBC will televise 38 group-stage matches, including Scotland’s matches against Haiti and Brazil, as well as England vs Ghana.
Both broadcasters will show the knockout rounds.
