Young people are ditching live TV for YouTube and TikTok, says Ofcom, the organisation that oversees TV, radio and phones in the UK.

A new report says only 55% of 4 to 15-year-olds watch live TV weekly, down from 81% in 2018.

They now spend just 25 minutes a day on live TV but more than an hour on video-sharing apps.

Older viewers still prefer live TV, with 95% of over-65s tuning in weekly.

Meanwhile, radio listening is booming, hitting a 20-year high with nearly 50 million weekly listeners.
