A House of Lords committee report that came out on Tuesday said that urgent changes were needed to what pupils learn at secondary school. It warned that the education system for 11 to 16-year-olds is too focused on written exams and academic learning.
The committee also thinks that you should have more opportunities from the age of 11 for vocational learning, which focuses on practical work to prepare you for a particular job. It also says there should be a new GCSE in applied computing.
In a First News poll of 2,626 readers last year, 83% of you said that you wanted to learn more about the environment at school. This report agrees with you, calling for climate change and sustainability education to be included in lessons across the curriculum.
The committee also suggests there should be literacy and numeracy qualifications for more day-to-day practical use that is separate to the maths and English GCSEs.

I think it's time to change what we learn at school, because i believe that the curriculum isn't rigorously adapted to the most able pupils.
