I know what art is and have art session's each week but selfies are not art, pictures,paintings, statues or anything like that are art.
I am not that good at art.

What's so important about selfies?

I don't think that they are because, even though I love taking selfies, they are posing photographs not ones that are specific for art. Otherwise they would be much more thought about and more recognizable than a real work of art.

I would vote yes because art is anything that expresses you as a person and selfies do that.

i do not think that selfies are art because personally i think a piece of artwork should take lots of time to do where as a selfie takes about 5 seconds to take.

I think selfies are sort of art and not art. You can have a painting and everyone thinks that as art and you can have a selfie- not many think is an art. But if you think about it art could be photo and a selfie is a type of photo. Then people have photos (art) on their wall why can't people have selfies on the wall?! SELFIES!

A selfie is art because it is capturing that particular moment in your or someone else's life. Some selfies portray people in a really unique and interesting way, which is, if you think deeper, what Picasso did. Art is what you want to be art, so why not have an exhibition to show off the most recent form of it.

Selfies are just another type of photograph. If photos aren't art, however nice they are, then selfies are definitely not!

toataly no becouse art is when you express your feelings on a canvas and you just let it come to you also a thing you dont rush like a selfeie or a picture

However, I can see why people would think selfies are not as people take so many and there is no skill to it. I still think though that selfies are art because to get a good one you DO actually have to be skilled and when you edit them you can be very creative. Anyway that is my opinion
