JUST two MPs remain in the race for the leadership of the Conservative Party: Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt. The new leader – and so the UK’s new prime minister – will be announced on Tuesday 23 July.
The last two weeks have been hectic for both contestants, as they’ve been taking part in ‘hustings’ – debates across the country where the MPs take questions from members of the Conservative Party. While they’ve both been busy, Boris has definitely had the tougher week.
First, the former Mayor of London was visited by the police, called by neighbours who were worried about a loud argument between Mr Johnson and his girlfriend, Carrie Symonds.
Then a number of Tory MPs, who say that a ‘no-deal Brexit’ could really hurt the UK, revealed that they’d agreed to rebel against the rest of their party. If it seemed like a no-deal Brexit was on the way, they’d help the Labour Party to force a general election and stop it.
Mr Johnson later refused to attend a TV debate with Jeremy Hunt, who called him a “coward” for doing so. In an interview with the BBC, Mr Johnson said he would be staying silent about the row with his girlfriend, and that even if all of the EU’s leaders refuse to discuss any changes to the Brexit deal, he’s sure he could convince them to change things.

I would have originally have voted for Rory Stewart, but since he was voted out i'v been left a bit stuck. But in this case i would: Jeremy Hunt: Bad

i voted for Jeremy but i only did it because he isn't boris but boris is more likely to cause scottish independence because no one wants him as pm in scotland, so that will be a good thing. But its a bit like knowing you are going to get kicked but you don't know by wich foot.
