31 AUGUST: SINGAPORE – Squish, a Greater Flamingo at Wildlife Reserves Singapore Jurong Bird Parks breeding and research centre wearing a pair of shiny blue shoes during its routine walkabout with an animal carer in Singapore. Squish is a 3-month-old Greater Flamingo and was rescued after being abandoned as an egg, the young wading bird was hatched with the help of conservationists and now wanders the grounds of the avian zoo to catch some sunlight and gain strength.
