26 APRIL: PARIS, FRANCE – People gather near flowers left at the site where a police officer was killed by on the Champs-Élysées, during a demonstration of French police officers called by the union Unite-SGP Police FO in Paris to demand better working conditions and more recognition.
Xavier Jugele was shot dead on 20 April while on duty on the famous Champs-Élysées avenue, three days before the first round of France’s presidential election.
