11 DECEMBER: GODEWAERSVELDE, FRANCE – A dog jumps to catch a snowball in Godewaersvelde. In France, 32 departments were placed on orange alert with winds of more than 100 kilometres forecast in some areas. In the northern Pas-de-Calais and Nord regions, some 20,000 homes were without electricity due to gale-force winds.
