18 October: QIONGHAI, SOUTH CHINA’S HAINAN PROVINCE – Residents and and cars make their way through a flooded street after heavy rain caused by Typhoon Sarika. Typhoon Sarika, the 21st typhoon of the year, made landfall in south China’s Hainan as torrential rain and gales lashed the island province.
